Steamboat Lake Sprint Triathalon

To help make sure I wasn’t sitting around too much this summer I signed up for a sprint triathlon. “Sprints” are approximately half the distance of an Olympic distance triathlon, so my race consisted of a 1/2 mile swim, 12.4 bike ride and a 3.5 mile run. I finished in approximately 1 hr 47 mins. and the race took place at approximately 8,200 feet in elevation.

It was a pretty brutal workout (for me) but I’m glad I made myself do it, otherwise I’d likely be sitting on the couch getting fatter.
